Chaplin Darrell Murphy, pictured with Paramedic Matt House, was presented with an award yesterday at our monthly board meeting. Darrell is being recognized for his tireless effort and support of not only our agency, but our community. For those that do not know, Chaplin responds to almost all EMS calls that his services are needed. He also stays with families of the deceased, sometimes for hours at a time, or gives them a ride to the hospital if their loved one was transported by ambulance. His help and caring continue, as he also turns and shows concern for the well being of the first responders, EMS personnel, firefighters, police officers, and our emergency dispatchers. This is a small token of our appreciation for the countless hours, days, nights, and years spent volunteering such a great service.
