On 08/19/15 local agencies, along with the help of many talented and youthful volunteer patients, participated in a mass casualty drill at Siuslaw High School.
The scenario was a boiler that had exploded in one of the shops, and it was as realistic as possible. Volunteers arrived early to help create detailed injuries using moulage kits, EMS supplies and packs were utilized, hose lines were pulled, patients were transported, and Peace Harbor Hospital accepted and provided treatment.
We would like to thank everyone that participated in the planning of this event and the drill itself, it was a huge success. Afterwards, there was a group discussion addressing the strengths and areas for improvement
